First 'Pacesetters' class graduates

RALEIGH -- The Raleigh Business and Technology Center's inaugural class of "Pacesetters" graduated Monday at City Hall.

The owners of 18 businesses completed the first "virtual business incubator," a business-development program envisioned by the Southeast Raleigh Assembly -- city-appointed volunteers charting economic development for the area.

The Pacesetters program offers financial, marketing and management services to Southeast Raleigh businesses.

The deadline to apply for the 2004 Pacesetters Fellows program is Friday. For an application or more information about the program, visit the Raleigh Business and Technology Center, 900 S. Wilmington St., or call 836-8618.
